VANCOUVER, BC – On Legends Night at the Pacific Coliseum Friday night, Marek Tvrdon had three goals and an assist to springboard the Giants to a 4-1 victory over the Victoria Royals, snapping a 5 game losing slide in front of a boisterous crowd of 7,826 fans.

Dalton Sward opened the scoring for Vancouver late in the 1st period on a snap shot from the slot, and the Giants didn’t allow a single shot on goal in the opening 20 minutes, outshooting Victoria 8-0.

The Royals picked up their first shot of the game 46 seconds into the 2nd period. 30 seconds later, Marek Tvrdon scored tonight’s “Insurance Goal of the Game”, capitalizing on a wrap-arond rebound to give the Giants a 2-0 lead.
