The entire Vancouver Giants organization is excited to welcome our Season Ticket Holders to the annual Pick-up Party today (Sun Sep 8)! This unofficial ‘start of the season’ is always a fun event for our staff and volunteers, as we welcome members of our Giants Family back from a long summer. It’s always a highlight to catch up with Season Ticket Holders and give everyone a casual forum to talk about the year ahead.
This year’s event is taking place at a new location – Bill Copeland Arena in Burnaby – prior to our exhibition game with the Kamloops Blazers. Season Ticket Holders receive 2 free game tickets per account, and extra tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 each, with proceeds benefiting the Burnaby Minor Hockey Association.
The doors will open at 1:30pm, followed by long-time Colour Man Bill Wilms taking the mic at approximately 1:45 for a live chat with Head Coach Don Hay, new Assistant Coach Matt Erhart, General Manager Scott Bonner, and Majority Owner Ron Toigo.
The puck will then drop at 3:00pm as the Giants take on division rivals, the Kamloops Blazers.
Following the game, Season Ticket Holders are invited to stick around in the lobby for an exclusive chance to meet members of this year’s team, as well as some of our top prospects. Also, the newest member of our Play-by-Play tandem, Brendan Batchelor, will be on hand to help introduce the boys!
The annual Pick-up Party is an exclusive perk for full Season Ticket Holders.
