Kulak Selected by the Calgary Flames

Defenceman Brett Kulak is the second Giant to be chosen in today’s NHL Draft. The native of Stony Plain, Alberta, was selected 105th overall in the 4th Round by the Calgary Flames. Kulak tallied 9 goals, 15 assists, and a team-best +29 rating in 2011/12, appearing in all 72 regular season games. Originally a 9th Round Bantam Draft selection of the Giants (2009), he becomes the third Giant in team history to be selected by the Flames, joining the likes of J.D. Watt in 2005 and Lance Bouma in 2008.
