Giants Blank the Silvertips on Teddy Bear Toss Night

Jared Rathjen registered his first career Western Hockey League shutout as the Vancouver Giants blanked the Everett Silvertips 3-0 Friday night at the Pacific Coliseum.
Trent Lofthouse scored the first goal, his third in as many games, midway through the middle frame on Teddy Bear Toss night.
Jackson Houck sealed the deal for the Giants with an empty net goal with 1:20 left in the game.
Brett Kulak had the other Vancouver goal. Carter Popoff had two assists in the game.
Vancouver had 36 shots on goal and Jared Rathjen made 22 saves for the shutout.
The victory extends the Giants’ home winning streak to seven games.
