Giants Beat Second Place Tigers

The Vancouver Giants scored three goals in the first period en route to a 3-2 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers Friday night at the Pacific Coliseum.
The Tigers came close, scoring once in the second and once in the third, but couldn’t get anymore past Jared Rathjen who made 31 saves for the win.
Ty Ronning and Dalton Sward both scored their third goals of the season. Jackson Houck had the other Vancouver goal.
The Giants went 1-for-3 on the power play and had 35 shots on goal.
