Giants beat Prince George 8-4 Sunday Night

The Vancouver Giants ended the calendar year with an 8-4 win over Prince George at the Pacific Coliseum Sunday.

Trevor Cheek paved the way with a hat trick, and the Giants got 4 goals from defensemen as they pulled within 9 points of the 9th place Cougars in the West.


 

Tyler Morrison scored his first-ever WHL goal, Wes Vannieuwenhuizen and Kale Kessy both had a goal and an assist, and Brett Kulak and Mason Geertsen scored the other two Vancouver goals.


The Giants got 43 shots on net and were 2-for-5 on the powerplay.

Tonight’s Dickies’ Hardest Working Player of the Game is: Dalton Sward

 

Tonight’s Insurance Goal of the Game was scored by Trevor Cheek who scored a shorthanded goal in the second period to put the Giants up 6-3.
