Giants Add Draft Pick in Trade with Royals

The Vancouver Giants have traded 17 year-old defenceman Jake Kohlhauser to the Victoria Royals in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

The Giants will receive a fourth-round pick in the 2015 Bantam Draft unless Kohlhauser plays more than 50 games in the 2014/2015 season in which the Giants will receive a third-round pick in the 2015 Draft.

The 6’0″,170lbs defenceman was drafted by the Giants in the second-round of the 2011 Bantam Draft.

Kohlhauser played midget with the St. Albert Raiders Midget AAA of the Alberta Midget Hockey League last season where he had 5 points (1 goal, 4 assists) in 29 games.
