Geertsen and Houck Selected Back-to-Back in 2013 NHL Draft

The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate both Mason Geertsen and Jackson Houck on being selected in the 2013 NHL Draft.

Geertsen was selected 93rd overall by the Colorado Avalanche and Houck was selected by the Edmonton Oilers with the 94th pick.

Geertsen, a 6’4″ defenceman from Rocky Rapids, Alberta finished the 2012/13 season with 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) and 130 penalty minutes in 73 games.

Houck, a right-winger from North Vancouver, led the Giants in scoring with 57 points (23 goals, 34 assits) in 69 games and was named the Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player on the Giants for teh 2012/13 season.
