Darian Skeoch’s legacy with the Vancouver Giants continues to be felt positively even though it’s been over two years since he last put on the uniform. Back in March, Steve Ewen touched on that very fact in an article in The Province.
The pride of New Liskeard, ON was a fan favourite in Vancouver from the moment he arrived with the Giants thanks to his work ethic and his team-first approach to everything. On Monday, May 25th Darian Skeoch will join Dan O’Connor for a two-part conversation that will run on White Spot Giants This Week and VancouverGiants.com, but heading into the weekend we thought we’d share a few snippets of what you can expect.
In this clip, Skeoch explains how he learned about his trade to Vancouver in September of 2016:
During Skeoch’s three-year WHL career, he recorded nearly 300 penalty minutes. Along the way he had some notable battles with Kamloops Blazers forward Jermaine Loewen. Both Skeoch and Loewen have since graduated from the WHL, but after the final meeting of 2017-18 between the Giants and Blazers, Skeoch made a point of finding/speaking with Jermaine Loewen after the game.
The entire two-part conversation with Darian Skeoch will be posted Monday and will run on White Spot Giants This Week on Sportsnet 650 from 10-11 PM.
