Vancouver Giants Community Partner Profile: G&F Financial Group
For today’s Vancouver Giants Community Partner Profile, we are proud to highlight the G&F Financial Group who has passionately and loyally partnered with the Vancouver Giants for over 10 years. The following is a Q and A with Katy Lepine, Communications Specialist with G&F Financial Group.
1) Tell us about the “mission” of your business as it pertains to your customers and the community organizations that you sponsor and support?
G&F Financial Group invests in what we value most: our members, partners, employees and community. We believe that what we give back to our community can help lead us all towards a brighter future. We recognize that the future of our credit union will not be determined solely by financial gain, but by how we stay true to our cooperative values, how we enrich and strengthen our bonds in community.
2) How long have you been partnering with the Vancouver Giants? Why is this partnership important to you?
G&F has been partnering with the Vancouver Giants since 2009. For over 10 years the partnership has grown and evolved. Our partnership with the Vancouver Giants is important because we align so well from a values perspective. Both organizations care and give back to the local communities to make a positive difference in peoples lives.
3) Do you have a favourite Vancouver Giants player/memory?
G&F opened our Willoughby Branch in Langley in 2014. We held our grand opening and many of the Vancouver Giants players attended. While it wasn’t one particular moment, in general the players were so engaged with the kids, and parents, and just wanted to make sure everyone was having a great time.
4) What do you want your customers/our fans to know about the current state of your business?
During these times, our focus has been on the health and safety of our employees and members. Our goal as always is to provide financial advice to our members so they feel empowered by their financial decisions. Our teams at G&F have been serving our members in-branch, on the phone, through virtual meetings – whatever is convenient for the member. G&F continues to proudly support our communities during these times – whether it’s a donation, through virtual financial literacy sessions or showcasing them on our social media.
5) Please feel free to add anything else on behalf of your business that you would like our fans to know?
We welcome all BC residents to join our credit union! We are owned by the people that bank with us, which means your bottom line is our bottom line. Every member has equal ownership and an equal say in how their credit union operates, no matter what their balance.
