This season, The Vancouver Giants players visited over 20 schools to challenge students to Be A Giant at home, at school, for their health and in their communities. The hockey season may be over, but their challenge to students still remains.
Giant’s Challenge students to ‘Be A Giant’
The Be a Giant program encourages elementary students to be their very best at school, at home, for their health and in their community. Despite the season coming to an abrupt end, Giants players think it’s now more important than ever that students focus on these four pillars.
We’re challenging families to explore new ways of learning while social distancing, to take care of their communities and stay healthy during these unprecedented times. To get them started, we’ve recommended some online, public learning resources. Families are welcome to share their progress at home with us for a chance to win some Giants swag.
The Vancouver Giants organization would like to express our appreciation for all essential services workers that are putting the health and safety of our communities first. Healthcare practitioners and support workers, grocers, janitorial staff, emergency responders, truck and delivery drivers, and hydro and gas workers- Thank you!
A special thanks to our partners at Save On Foods and C&D Logistics for keeping the essentials available to us all.
