Vancouver selected defender Colton Alain with the 2022 54th Overall pick, he has already played in seven games in the Western Hockey League as a 15-year-old.

The WHL Draft Lottery took place today, and there was a 4.7% chance that the Giants could win the lottery and move up two spots to 4th Overall, but the Prince Albert Raiders ended up winning the lottery and moving up from 4th to 2nd Overall. Prince Albert owns the #1 and #2 picks in May’s draft.
