The Vancouver Giants are proud to announce the organization collected over 7,500 stuffed animals at their annual Teddy Bear Toss game December 9 vs. the Portland Winterhawks. The Giants organization would like to thank all its fans that brought or bought a Teddy Bear for such a worthy cause. Part proceeds from the sales of the bears will go to the CKNW Orphans’ Fund and The Province Empty Stocking Fund. As for the stuffed animals themselves, the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau collects and distributes them.
In conjunction with the Teddy Bear Toss, the Vancouver Giants created a YouTube Challenge. The goal was to get 50,000 views of our Teddy Beart Toss Video by Christmas Day and the Vancouver Giants along with White Spot Restaurants would donate an additional $5,000 each to both the CKNW Orphans’ Fund and The Province Empty Stock Fund.
And guess what…. We did it!
A ‘Giant’ thank you to everyone who viewed and shared this video – seeing us reach our goal in only 4 days is beyond our wildest expectations! Thank you as well to our friends at White Spot, CKNW and The Province for their generosity and all the hard work they do in our communities. Please continue to view and share this video leading up to Christmas so that we can keep spreading the word about these two great causes. And if you haven’t made a donation yet, we encourage you to do so today!
