2nd Annual ‘Giant CKNW Coat Drive’ this Saturday

The Vancouver Giants are proud to partner with CKNW980 and the Salvation Army for the 2nd Annual ‘Giant CKNW Coat Drive’ this Saturday night (November 9th) when the Giants host the Prince George Cougars at 7pm.

Fan are encouraged to bring gently used winter coats, as well as hats, gloves, scarves and sleeping bags, in order to help the less fortunate members of our community during the cold winter months. All donations will be distributed through the Salvation Army Harbour Light drop-in ministry, which sees anywhere from 50 – 200 people per day of all ages stop in for shelter from the rain and cold.

You’ll also see the familiar Salvation Army red kettles on site as you enter, so even if you don’t have an item to donate you’ll still have an opportunity to help out.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday night!
