Marek Tvrdon Reassigned to Grand Rapids

The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate Marek Tvrdon on being reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins, the Detroit Red Wings’ American Hockey League affiliate.

The Nitra, Slovakia native was drafted 115th overall by the Red Wings in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Tvrdon played 18 games in the 2012/13 season with the Giants, racking up 22 points, before a blood clot ended his season in November.

The 20 year-old forward has 107 points (45 goals, 62 assists) in 90 games over three seasons with the Giants.
