Chris Relke

Vancouver Giants General Manager Glen Hanlon announced today that the Giants have traded 1999-born forward Tristyn DeRoose (Ceylon, SK) to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a sixth-round draft pick in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.

Listed by the Giants in 2014, DeRoose signed with the team in January 2016. Last season he appeared in 55 games for the Giants and registered a goal and five assists for six points to go along with 91 penalty minutes. His 15 fighting majors were the second most in the WHL in 2016-17.

“We want to thank Tristyn for his contributions both on the ice and in our community,” said Giants GM Glen Hanlon. “We wish him the very best as he returns to his home province to join the Moose Jaw Warriors.”

The Vancouver Giants roster now sits at 27 players: 15 forwards, nine defencemen and three goaltenders.
