NHL Central Scouting released their Final Rankings List for the 2018 NHL Draft this morning and three Vancouver Giants appeared on the North American side. Goaltender David Tendeck was ranked #8 among draft eligible North American goaltenders while forward Milos Roman (#41) and defenceman Dylan Plouffe (#185) were ranked on the North American Skaters list.
1999-born goaltender David Tendeck (North Vancouver, B.C.) was originally selected by the Vancouver Giants in the sixth round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. He appeared in 48 regular season games in 2017-18 and earned a record of 25-16-3-2 with three shutouts, a 3.02 goals-against-average and a .912 save percentage. Twice Tendeck captured Player of the Month honors for the Giants (December and February) and was voted a second-team WHL Western Conference All-Star last month.
1999-born forward Milos Roman (Kysucke Nove Mesto, SVK) was selected sixth overall by the Vancouver Giants in the 2017 CHL Import Draft. Roman suited up in 39 regular season games with the G-Men in 2017-18 and registered 10 goals and 22 assists. He added three goals and three assists for six points in seven playoff games. Roman was selected to participate in the 2018 CHL/NHL Prospects Game but did not play because of injury. He represented Slovakia in each of the past two World Junior Championship tournaments.
1999-born defenceman Dylan Plouffe (Sherwood Park, AB) was drafted by the Giants in the second round of the 2014 WHL Bantam Draft. Through 60 regular season games in 2017-18, Plouffe led all Giants defencemen with a career-best nine goals and 31 assists for 40 points. He also finished with a +5 rating and 55 penalty minutes. During the playoffs he added a goal and a +1 rating through seven games. In 181 career WHL games (all with the Giants) Plouffe has compiled 15 goals and 51 assists for 66 points.
