Miner Named Manitoba Midget League Player of the Week

The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate prospect goaltender Trent Miner on being named the Player of the Week in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.

Miner led his Brandon Wheat Kings team to back-to-back victories over the Yellowhead Chiefs and Winnipeg Thrashers. The 15-year-old has a 3.03 goals against average and a 0.901 save percentage this season.

Last month, Miner backstopped Team Manitoba to a bronze medal at the Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup. He was drafted by the Giants at 20th overall in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.
