Liam Liston Debuts his New Mask

Ever since being acquired from the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the end of June, Liam Liston has been working hard in hopes of establishing himself between the pipes for the Giants this season.

With just 2 weeks left before training camp opens, today the St. Albert, Alberta product unveiled his new piece of headwear, designed by artist Jason Bartziokas.

The new mask is an homage to 3 members of a star-studded Vancouver Giants ownership group. It features former Canucks coach Pat Quinn (top right), one of the legends of the game Gordie Howe (top left), and local crooner Michael Buble on the bottom.

While we don’t yet know what the Giants pre-season roster will look like, fans of the team could get a chance to see the new mask in action as early as 3 weeks from now, when Vancouver opens their pre-season schedule in Ladner on August 31st, hosting the Kelowna Rockets.
