G-Men Best Blazers 4-1

The Vancouver Giants got four goals from four different players, skating to a 4-1 win over the Kamloops Blazers at the Langley Events Centre on Saturday night. Johnny Wesley, Radovan Bondra, Dawson Holt and Tyler Benson all bulged the twice for the G-Men in the victory.

Wesley opened the scoring on a power play in the first period, tucking the rebound of an Alec Baer shot past Kamloops starting goalie Dylan Ferguson at the side of the goal.

Bondra extended the Giants’ lead in the middle frame when he fired a hard slap shot past Ferguson from the slot. Holt made it 3-0 later in the stanza with a tight angle shot that found the top corner from right along the goal line before Quinn Benjafield scored a power play goal off the rush to put the Blazers on the board.

Benson added an empty netter late in the third period.

Holt’s marker was the Insurance Goal of the Game.

Vancouver out shot Kamloops 39-24. The Giants went 1-for-4 on the power play. Ryan Kubic made 23 saves in the Vancouver crease.

The G-Men will return to action when they host the Kelowna Rockets on Friday, November 4th, at the Langley Events Centre. For tickets, click here or call 604.4.GIANTS (604.444.2687).
