Fill the Rink & the Food Bank: October 5 & 7

We're gearing up for Thanksgiving Weekend by inviting all Giants Fans to bring a non-perishable food item or baby supply donation to both games this weekend - Friday, October 5 vs Medicine Hat & Sunday, October 7 vs Victoria. Simply look for collection bins as you enter the rink.

Donations from Friday's game will benefit JRFM's Basic's for Babies, which will in turn send those donations along to Food Banks throughout the Lower Mainland. It's also our first Music Night of the season, with the playlist brought to you by our friends at 93.7 JRFM - New Country! Local up-and-coming country duo Robyn & Ryleigh will perform the national anthem as well as a live set on the main concourse before the game and during the 1st intermission.

The on-ice match-up should be an entertaining one, as the Tigers feature the reigning WHL Player of the Week and 49-goal man from last season, Hunter Shinkaruk. Gametime is 7:30pm.

On Sunday, donations will directly benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society as your Giants take the ice against the Victoria Royals. The Giants will look to avenge two earlier losses to their Island rivals back on opening weekend. Sunday's game starts at our new, earlier Sunday start time - 4:00pm - which gives you lots of time to cheer-up an appetite before heading home for Thanksgiving dinner!
